Lily is a cat who decided to be mine, in spite of the fact she belongs next door in a perfectly good home. It started five years ago when I rescued her from six magpies. She decided I was her protector and hero. She showed her affection through purrs and cuddles, and attaching her loose hair firmly to my clothes. She loved the summer time best, when she can lounge under our chairs in the garden. Over time she has been added to my stories, and gained a fan club of her own.
